Caring For Your Special Adore Adorn Jewelry
Our Commitment To You
Adore Adorn was birthed to create memories that are yours to keep or pass on to others as an act of love. It is our pleasure to invite you to wear our legacy statement jewelry.
With proper care, your silver jewelry will remain beautiful over time. It is quite possible that wear from plating will take place. In most cases, we will refinish the plating, where possible.
Most of our gemstones are natural and specially cut to fit our designs. Many factors can influence the condition of the jewelry, so you should make sure that it is properly cleaned, repaired and stored. Take care to avoid extreme humidity or heat as this may cause tarnishing.
Please follow these steps to ensure your timeless jewelry can be passed down for generations to come.
Silver Jewelry will naturally tarnish over time, however, silver that is regularly used generally needs less care. We find that the natural tarnish adds a beauty to the pieces, but still follow these steps for best care:
Always protect your jewelry from knocks, scratches, chemicals, harsh light and extreme temperatures.
We recommend removing jewelry when you shower or bathe and particularly in chlorinated water.
Avoid spraying perfume or applying creams directly to your jewelry.
Keep away from extreme temperatures, humidity, and sunlight, and avoid wearing your jewelry when using bleach.
To protect your jewelry, pieces should be individually placed in a pouch or within a soft lined box to stop them from being scratched or tangled with other jewelry.
Sterling Silver is a precious metal and may require cleaning from time to time. Do not use tissue paper or paper towels to clean metal as they can cause scratching.
Metal Using a soft, lint free cloth is an effective way to keep silver, yellow and rose gold plated jewelry looking shiny and lustrous. A silver cleaner can also be used to clean sterling silver pieces.
Gemstones Since many gemstones are quite delicate, hot water, harsh chemicals and cleaners should be avoided at all times. We advise cleaning your precious stones with a clean, soft, damp cloth after wearing. Very porous stones such as turquoise and emeralds should be cleaned using an untreated, dry, soft cloth only. Do not use tissue paper or paper towels to clean gemstones as they can cause scratching.
Wood Materials The best way to clean the wood is to occasionally wash the cord with a mild soap in lukewarm water.
Nickel We do not add Nickel to our jewelry.
It's best to use a ring you currently own to measure the size.
